Juran has developed a surface treatment for litchis that naturally extends the lifetime of the fruit’s attractive colour, as well as its shelf-life and market value.

This sulphur-free and computerized process, fixes the vivid ruby-red colour on the outside of the litchi fruit, while protecting the taste inside. With a typically short market window, litchis generally lose their colour and turn brown within 3 days. Now, with Juran’s new treatment, litchis keep their attractive colour for up to 4-5 weeks, greatly increasing their market options.

For efficient handling, the Juran Litchi Treatment is also combined with a motorized conveyor and sorting system so that the end product is an attractive, long shelf-life, market-ready fruit.
